This policy explains how We Code IT Technology Limited collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use Z-Links.

1. Introduction

Z-Links is a discovery and listing application operated by We Code IT Technology Limited. It helps users find businesses, freelancers, products, services, homes, cars and other listings across Zambia.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you use Z-Links, contact us, create an account, create a listing, send an enquiry or interact with providers through the app.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • People who browse, search or save listings in Z-Links.
  • Businesses, agents, freelancers and other providers who create accounts or publish listings.
  • People who contact providers through call, WhatsApp, direct message or other enquiry tools.
  • People who contact Z-Links support by email, forms, app store channels or social media.

This policy does not apply to websites, payment providers, mobile networks, app stores, WhatsApp or other services that we do not own or control. Those services have their own privacy policies.

3. Information We Collect

We collect different information depending on how you use Z-Links.

3.1 Account and profile information

  • Name, business name, username, email address, phone number and password or sign in details.
  • Profile photo, business logo, business category, service area, address or general location.
  • Provider details such as skills, profession, property agency details, car seller details or business description.

3.2 Listing information

  • Products, services, freelance profiles, property listings, car listings, prices, descriptions, photos and videos.
  • Availability, rental details, sale details, contact details, listing status and listing performance.
  • Information needed to review, moderate, publish, update or remove a listing.

3.3 Enquiry and communication information

  • Messages, support requests, feedback, reports and attachments you send to us.
  • Records that show when you tap to call, open WhatsApp, send a direct enquiry or interact with a listing.
  • We do not control calls, SMS, WhatsApp chats or messages after they leave Z-Links and move to a third party service.

3.4 Payment and subscription information

  • Plan type, subscription status, payment confirmation, transaction history and billing records.
  • Limited payment details from app stores, payment processors or mobile money providers. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

3.5 Device, usage and location information

  • Device type, operating system, app version, browser type, language settings, IP address and general location.
  • Searches, viewed listings, saved listings, categories used, buttons tapped, session dates, error logs and crash reports.
  • Precise location, camera, photos, media or storage information only where your device allows it and you give permission.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate and improve Z-Links. This includes using information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts, provider accounts and listings.
  • Display listings, search results, provider profiles, categories and contact options.
  • Help users contact businesses, agents, freelancers and sellers.
  • Process subscriptions, paid listings, boosts, receipts, renewals, cancellations and support requests.
  • Review listings, prevent fraud, remove unsafe content and enforce our terms.
  • Measure app performance, fix bugs, improve search and understand how people use the service.
  • Send service messages, support replies, security alerts and marketing messages where allowed by law.
  • Comply with legal duties and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following ways:

  • With other users: Provider names, business names, listing details, photos, prices, service areas and contact options may be visible to users.
  • With providers: If you send an enquiry, the provider may receive your name, phone number, message or other contact details you choose to share.
  • With service providers: We may use hosting, analytics, email, support, payment, security and app store services to run Z-Links.
  • With payment partners: We may share information needed to process payments, subscriptions, refunds and fraud checks.
  • For legal reasons: We may share information when required by law, court order, regulator request or to protect users, We Code IT or the public.
  • Business changes: If Z-Links is involved in a merger, sale, financing or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that process.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Public Listings and Provider Information

Z-Links is built around discovery. If you publish a listing or provider profile, the information you submit may be visible to users, including your business name, phone number, service details, listing photos, prices, location area and contact options.

Do not publish personal information that you do not want users to see. If you publish another person's information, you must have permission to do so.

8. Third Party Services

Z-Links may open or connect to third party services, including app stores, payment services, mobile networks, maps, WhatsApp, phone dialers, email apps and social media platforms.

We are not responsible for how those services collect or use information after you leave Z-Links. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Z-Links, manage accounts and listings, handle support, prevent abuse, meet accounting or legal duties and resolve disputes.

We may keep some records after an account or listing is removed where required by law, where needed for fraud prevention, or where needed to protect our rights or the safety of users.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information. These may include access controls, secure storage practices, monitoring and limits on who can access information.

No app, website or communication method is fully secure. You are responsible for keeping your account password safe and for using care when contacting providers or sharing information with other users.

11. Children

Z-Links is not intended for children who cannot lawfully use digital services without parent or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without proper consent, please contact us.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information.
  • Give you access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete information, subject to legal, safety and business record limits.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Provide a copy of certain information in a usable format where required by law.

You can update some account and listing details in the app. You can also control device permissions through your phone settings.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we may notify you in the app, on the website or by other reasonable means. The latest version will apply from the date shown on the policy.
